After completing a previous project with this particular private client, Barclay Interiors was approached to put together a schematic proposal primarily for their Drawing room. It was imperative that the chosen fabrics, furniture, decorative lighting and accessories complimented the existing furnishings whilst also adding texture and drama. The main aim of this brief was to achieve a welcoming yet glamorous and elegant space appropriate for entertaining. To lift the existing neutral backdrop, pattern and texture were introduced through bespoke soft furnishings and statement decorative lighting. To ensure that the room felt inviting, mixed materials, such as shagreen and bronze were introduced, and woven fabrics were used for upholstery. The over-all sense of elegance and glamour was achieved through gold accents and curvilinear forms. Our clients were delighted with the scheme.
